Geo: 43.5807, 7.12087 GÜN 69 Günlerden Perşembe Sabah erken kalktım. Hava çok puslu. Herşeyimizi topladık yola çıktık. İstikamet Antibes. Orada herhangi bir kamp yeri bilmiyorum. Fakat Antibes daha önce ziyaret ettiğim bir yer olduğu için bulacağımı tahmin ediyorum. Orada ,yabancılık çekmezsiniz efendim ... Antibes 5 .yüzyılda bizim Foçalılar tarafından kurulmuş bir kenttir. Şimdi diyeceksiniz Foça nire Antibes nire ? Daha başka bir komiklik ,Foça yerine Bodrum ile kardeş şehir olmaları ... Hayat güzel be ... Bu Antibes ,benim gençliğimin en "Inn" yerlerinden biri. Brigitte Bardot ve benzer ne kadar ünlü varsa, buralarda fink atmışlar. Ne var ki günümüzde artık o denli popüler değil galiba... Antibes We left Cinque Terre from the car park up the hill, this time toward Monterosso and across to the Autostrasse following the coast line and seeing the villages tucked away on the range, the olive orchards that crowd the road with great orange nets strung beneath them to catch the olives when they are picked-shaken (?) from the trees and then once on the Autostrasse away at high speed to France. We were doing 130 kph and cars were flying past us! Again it was a highway of classical Italian proportion; carved through the mountains and strung above the valleys. The road past the back of Monaco was high on the range and from the range we looked down over the coast. We thought there were massive tourist ships in port in one area ... read more

Bonjour everyone! Naturally, since I just started work last week, we already have a 5 day long weekend. It's the French way, they say May is all holidays and the rest of the summer everyone is on strike :) So we've been exploring Antibes in our time off. We took a bus down to the Cap d'Antibes, which is the tip of the peninsula, and walked around the rocky shores and got lots of pictures. Yesterday we visited the Museum of Archeology in Antibes. We snapped one picture before being warned by the staff that cameras were not allowed! We spent the rest of our time reading on the beach and enjoying the nice weather. Yesterday we had some amazing mussels at a local restaurant. They were very tasty as long as we didn't examen them ... read more

That morning I headed for Gare Routiere to take the bus to Antibes and explore alone. The old city was so relaxing and was not overrun by corporations or anything very touristy..yet. I found myself walking along the wall of the city that bordered sharp rocks and salty ocean spray. The beach was pretty (of course) and sat in a bay that was almost protected all the way around by rocks. I kind of wished I brough my swimsuit along, but I was on the verge of getting sunburned, so it was better that I stayed out of the sun as much as possible (which is kind of impossible).
