Leaving behind the delights of Najac and the Aveyron Gorges we had 5 days to potter up through the middle of France to get to Calais. The plan was to spend the last few days just north of Paris near Compiegne and visit some friends. wow-that looks like a fabulous tour de france! i love Rodin's hands (of the burghers) too- and the sweet fields of poppies. thanks for sharing your trip. we are also back home from a very sensual and emotional holiday in vietnam. such amazingly resilient people-very humbling. enjoy being home- and that rare english commodity- sunshine. xxx

Loved the writeup! I traveled to France last year and used a travel company to book my trip. http://www.novatravel.com .. They put me on a very similar itinerary and I had such an amazing time. Cheers!

Great sights to see
Hi Lynne I have thoroughly enjoyed your journey in Europe! There are several places there that I want to visit. Wish Mac would drive a car over there but he won't. I could do that but he is not a navigator!! Have to get a Sally. Ruth and Tim leave Paris today for Belgium then Amsterdam.They are very keen to see those poppies in the fields.Thanks for all your effort with the blog. You can enjoy summer now! Love Jocelyn
