Hi all,

We have been busily traveling in Fifi each day, with the exception of Wednesday when we took a little time to catch up with laundry. It was supposed to rain that day but as it turned out, it was a beautiful afternoon so as the clothes went through their suds cycle, we read and played backgammon out in the garden. The other days we traveled to more medieval villages, many also built into the Rock. So far we have driven over 800km. I can now drive at breakneck speeds around hairpin turns like the best of the crazies! The last couple days we have visited Figeac, Lalbenque, Luzech, Pul'eveque. We also visited the cave paintings at Pech Merle. Very interesting. Yesterday we had an intrigging lunch while en route to Gourdon. We stopped at a cafe and instead of looking at a menu, Cameron conversed seemingly well in French and ordered something wonderful. I had no idea what. As it turned out, neither did he. We worked through a three course lunch of raw salmon salad, a gigantic bowl full of mussels, and a chocolate tart. I'm not a big fan of the first two but the tart was good. We ate enough to be polite ? and then downed the tart. But all in all, Cameron has done a magnificent job of translation and can read all the French historical information quite well. It is the rapid-fire speaking that can foul things up a bit. So here are some pictures of the area and food. I have more pictures in our phones which I haven't transferred yet so will add later.
