Courtney and I have decided to go to lyon for the weekend till tuesday. We booked a hotel last night and went early to the train station to get our tickets, we set of at 13.50 and prob will arrive around 7 tonight. I cant wait should be good. No lessons again for me this week as the lycee is still blocked and there was antoher big strike on tuesday! Hundereds of people marching around the town in protest, all I could think was where were these people when I wanted to play out the other night and there were only 2 or 3 people in each bar!! The town is looking awful as the rubbish has not been collected for ages there is jsut piles and piles of it on every street corner! With nothing else to do we went for a walk by the river and stopped at the supermarket were we bought these huge profiterol type cakes they looked gorgeous, we planned to eat them after dinner. This weekend my mum and my sisters (Hannah and Rachel) came to visit. Got up and walked to the bus station/ train station. A little early I headed to the cafe at the station. Just sat down and comfy with my cafe au lait when I heard this racket, looking outside a huge parade of people followed by a tractor full of rubbish bags, descended on the train station. Shouting and marching they started unloading the tractor and piled up the rubbish bags infront of the train station doors,wtf! Good job I wasnt planning on getting the train! So today is a national strike which means no school for me today!! woop woop! So courtney and I headed to the centre commercial to do some shopping. Now I know im a bit stupid but i actaully thought a massive supermarket would house the ingredients I need to make a thai green curry, i found chicken and the vegetables to go in, good start, then the search stopped at coconut milk. The french obviously arent a fan of decent spices!! grrrr! so i had to buy a premade sauce lets hope its as good. I have definitley been negelecting my blog this weekend so im guessing this will be a seriously long one!! So during my last lesson on friday, a 15 year old boy asked me if I had a love friend much to the amusement of the rest of the class and then asked me if I liked his friend... serious cringe factor!
