We stayed two nights in Lescar the reason we wanted to visit Lourdes. We had been there so forty years ago. It was well worth it. Things had changed. On arrival we found a park of all places at the Hospital. We did not know at the time but liz had an urgent nature call so she went inside a door that was open and finished up in a doctors room. She talked to a woman doctor that was sitting behind her desk. Explaining the urgency Liz was allowed to use the facilities in the doctor's room. That was a relief. We had everything now, a park and no looking for a toilet. We walked towards the Grotto not that far away. Lots of people go in the same direction so that is easy. arriving the Grotto you are lined up to go inside the Grotto to be as close as possible to where it all happened. It is very impressive when you go there and touch the walls that are so smooth they glitter from all the hands that touch it over the years. A strange feeling comes over you. The people around you are all praying for whatever they

like to have or for the healing of the sickness they carry. It is amazing. We stayed for a while till we went to the Basilica to have a look inside. Spending some time at this Holy side being there just for the day we had to find our car back to drive back to Lescar. We found a nice restaurant not far from where we staying. It was a potato burger joint. We both had a hamburger very much potato orientated. But tasted okay.It was the end of the South of France we now leave France and are on the way to Spain a place called Bilbao. In the beginning we had a good run. All country roads hardly any traffic there. In a small country town we saw a chateau and made a stop to have a closer look. A nice spot to take some video and photos. That we did and also saw this small café that was just the place for a cup of black coffee. After leaving the country roads we saw that we had entered Spain. Now we also were into heavy traffic. We made one more stop at a big service station. We

mixed ourselves back into the traffic and were now close to Bilbao. The GPS took us to the right street but not the right place. Liz had to go out and ask We were to far and had to back up a bit hard in a one way street. We had to backtrack and do a few corners to get back to the right place. A small opening between houses was the garage deep down in a cellar. We were very happy there was an elevator to take our luggage up. Now we were settled. We will tell you about Bilbao next time.
