Verdun Memorial
I loved every minute of this fort exploration
Another entrance into the fort
I could just be myself with Ben..
I did not look very gracious crawling
Ben insisted I get a pic with the bat
I can't remember what this was??
Looking out from the inside
Going deeper and deeper into the dark underground
If I climbed up those stairs on the inside
a burnt out fire
some beautiful stalagmites
some used bullet catridges
a bat,
if we climbed up here
In the darkness
Creeping, crawling, slipping, sliding...
The first thing I saw inside the fort
Once inside
Now me
Ben crawling thru the tiny space to
the moat around the fort
The church grounds
WW1 Victory Memorial even tho
Streets of Verdun at night
Inside the crypt
Church in Verdun
WW1
Memorials of WW1
A memorial for the Muslim soldiers
The memorial for the Jewish soldiers
Ossuary of Douaumont
Stacks and stacks of Bones
the windows and what we saw
As we walked around the musuem/ossuary
Higher ranking officers were
Graves of millions of unidentified soldiers
The fort is underground but the gunfire
little did I know that Ben
I was really disappointed but...
it was closed because of the snow
This fort was now turned into a museum
All the trenches led to one of the forts
These idiiers replaying the events of the war
 Remants of trenches that
The part of the fort
The girls looked so pretty
Her passion was christmas
Lorraine
