WEEK 3 We spent one more night at la Dragonniaire then moved our shortest distance so far, 7 miles, to Villeneuve-les-Beziers which is next to the Canal du Midi. It was time to be a bit more active and we clocked up 30 miles of cycling in 3 days, not very far for the cycling enthusiasts amongst you but it felt like an achievement for those of us who only ride a bike a few times a year! The scenery was classic french impressionist subject matter. The Canal du Midi runs from Bordeaux to the Mediterranean but we'll have to do that on another trip!
