Today we visited La Cite de Carcassonne. We were last here 5 years ago. Enjoyed lunch French style in the square - salade!

The Cite is the largest and best conserved medieval fortress in Europe. Double walled and the beautiful basilica of St Nazaire. The stained glass are considered the best in the south of France. The ramparts are spectacular and give superb views of the surrounding countryside. Very warm and clear blue skies - the first this trip !!!!!!
