After two days of long walks, we decided to try something a little different: the D’Orsay Museum. We got a bit of a late start so, by the time we had walked to the D’Orsay, the lineup to get in was very long. Hmmmmm. This picture of Van Gogh's bedroom was of particular interest as we are going to Arles on our journey. This 1889 painting is the third version he did of this scene. I guess they didn't have cameras or photocopiers then!

There was a sumptuous hotel built onto the train station which is also part of the museum.

A less than full size of the iconic statue given by the French to the United States in the 1880s. Much is made of the friendship between these two republics when most of Europe was still monarchies.
