well hello again my dear friends..i dont know where to begin..we only have 6 sleeps to go on this incredible adventure.im sorry my blogs have been a little sparse,we have packed so much into our trip whenever we are still ,we fall asleep..but i think all of us have had a life changing experience..france has been an unbelievable journey..flying to nantes in west france ,hiring a car and driving to tremblay.An idyllic french village and a perfect cottage(even the wheat was harvested around us whilst we ate tea!)..a diet of bread ,cheese wine,mussels and more wine has had an effect on both craig and i!! ha ha how these french women look so damn gorgeous all the time is a secret i have not been told..from this we had the good fortune of staying in a 14th century 12 bedroom chateaux!! it used to be a monastery .The current owners' family have only been there for 4 generations! and they were really wonderful..Guy showed us the wine cellar and gifted the children a bottle of wine each from the year of their birth..it was very hard to leave but we had a hair raising drive from there to the gare du nord in paris..mmm there is a certain frenchness to paris that leaves all tourists quivering and pale...but we found our appartment (which unbeknown to me on booking, is right in the middle of the red light district!! moulin rouge is 500m away..the sacre coeur is also a 500m walk so it is perfect..and has led to some interesting questions about sex and religion...(jemima on passing a night time walk-'thats stupid mum,they say they are toy shops and they dont even sell toys'...the eiffel tower was truely gigantic ..today it is free for us to visit the louvre ,so we are off to be underwhelmed by the mona lisa ...looking forward to coming home but at the same time dont want it to end...drawers and a hairdresser would be nice tho...hong kong next and then the gorgeous aotearoa..hxx
