the Cathedral
Reims, the Catheral is called thre Palace of Tau. Here is where the French Kings were crowned. What is it an unbelievalble that the church has it origin in the year 407 and was continually enlarged. it was here that the barbarian Clovis was baptised. In 1481 there was a fire and although partly rebuild, the lady of Reims never had towers again. On eigth of july 1962 General de Gaule and Chanceler Adenauer set the seal of reconcilliation between France and Germany, in this Cathedral. We stayed in a Hotel right in the centre, on a road like Rundle Mall. Parking was underground and the Hotel picked up the bill. Breakfast was in a room you thought you were in Versailles, with all it's fancy bitts and pieces. Just we were back in the shower that is in a cupboard and you had to be careful not to drop anything, for when you picked it up you stopped the water, that is how big the shower was. Weather is holding out but just. Tomorrow we are on the way to Orleans to pick up some of the Jean D'Arc history. She was also in Reims but Orleans is really the
