Me at the arc- the traffic circel around it is insane!
So, I am now in Paris with Danielle and having a blast.... I have a heck of a lot to say so here goes, good for you if you finish it all!

From Milan I caught the train to Paris, which the guys were on (yeah), and then we were off. I was in a car with 5 other guys and of course the fat man decided to take the top bunk... he fell off the ladder in the middle of the night and screamed, waking us all up and giving me a banged knee, but what is travelling without adventures? I have managed to hurt myself falling down stairs in a McDonalds, skinning my foot and having car doors slam on me... and yet I am still fine!

From Paris we went to the Loire Valley, rented a car and went to our amazing hotel; a old home that is refurbished; set on the Loire river valley and complete with a super friendly host - Patrick! We went out for dinner to a super fancy place and then back to the hotel, the entire area reminds me of Canada, except a little warmer and in French. The next

day we saw the chateau Chenonceau, did a winery tour and drove over twisty roads very fast- thanks to Mike and Trav who both did an amazing job ( I really think so guys, thanks!). From there it was on to Paris and shopping with the guys as well as finding the sort of sketchy hostel that Danielle and I are staying in.

Paris was very cold and rainy the first day when we went to the gargoyles at Notre Dame and then the flea market in another rather sketchy area of town... a ton of things are closed on Sundays here! I heard sunday was amazing weather there though, lucky people! Monday was the day of 2000 stairs because we did the louvre, arch de Triomphe, Champs Elysees and the Eiffel Tower.... 16 hours later we arrived at the hostel after running through the streets of Paris catching the last metro train! The arch was cool in itself but the traffic is insane.... imagine a traffic circle with 10 lanes and no lines; people go where they please and you better not get in their way! The eiffel tower is so magnificent and beautiful; we stopped for a

nap in front on the lawn and then walked up the 600 stairs to the second floor, taking the elevator to the top- it is the highest I have ever been and so very cool! The louvre was also insane, we went for 5 hours and saw a fifth of it... we were evacuated out for some reason too!

A warnign thouhg, Paris really is the city of amour... I have not missed Keith so much as now with picnics in the park and going up the eiffel tower.... come with your significant other if you do!

Today was the palace at Versailles and Montmarte; the palace is so huge and the grounds even larger... Marie Antoinette had a whole hamlet built so she felt like she was in the country... crazy what rich people do. We also took a boat out for an hour or so and rowed around the lake that is in the middle of the park, check out pictures of it if you can, it is amazing. Montmarte is tonight and it is the can can district in Paris with the Moulin Rouge and other shows... who knows what will happen? Just kidding everyone, it should be an adventure though!

Tomorrow is Belgium, which is our random vacation pic, where we will eat waffles and chocolate... I really dont know what else we will do but it will be a good time§

So that is all for me, thanks to everyone who wrote a comment and hopefully you will have pics soon- the guys are sending them to me! To everyone who knows her, Danielle says hi!

see you all later, au revoir!
Katie

P.S. have a wonderfull wedding Nicole dan and the rest of the Teeuwsens!

Happy Canada day on the first!
