Euro Disney
Exciting day at Euro Disney in Paris. One of Hannah’s work friends, Liz from Tesco was heading across to Paris for a short holiday and invited us to meet them for a day at Eurodisney. At first we weren’t sure, it would cost a lot of money to get to Paris, get a hotel then only go to Eurodisney for a single day, but when we saw that Eurostar were having a sale on we thought to hell with it let’s go! On the Saturday morning we forced ourselves out of bed and made our way to St. Pancras International station and caught the Eurostar straight into Paris. We arrived into Gard du Nord just as the sun was rising and made our way to Place de la Concorde to our small Parisian boutique hotel. We checked in threw our bags in our room and meet Hannah’s friends downstairs in the lobby. Today we took it pretty easy since tomorrow we were heading out to Euro Disney and then from there Hannah and I would have to make our way back to London. So we spent most of the day walking around the streets of beautiful Paris checking out some of the sights that Hannah’s friends hadn’t seen
Euro Disney
Thousands and thousands of people at Euro Disney today. before. Then after an entire day of wandering around Paris we had dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, Entrecote on the Champ de Elysees before heading back to our hotel to rest.
The next morning we were up early again, checked out of our lovely hotel and were making our way to Euro Disney. We grabbed a few croissants for breakfast on the way since we didn’t have enough time to sit and eat. When we arrived at Disneyland station there were hoards of people here already, thousands and thousands of people everywhere. Liz and Kent had to check in their bags at their Euro Disney resort and go pickup their tickets and in the meantime Hannah and I threw our bags in the cloakroom and joined our first queue for the day to buy tickets. About 40 minutes later we were finally inside. Having heard no word from Liz we decided to head straight for some rides since the queues were already so long. Eventually we met up with them again and spent the 98% of the day in queues waiting to get on rides which only lasted 2 minutes. By far the best ride of Euro Disney and one of the best rollercoasters I’ve ever been on was Space Mountain 2, it was awesome. Luckily it was as well because we waited well over 2 hours in a queue which seemed to go forever and argued with rude French teenagers who were pushing in and letting their mates ahead of us before finally getting on, it was worth the wait.
The day seemed to go so quickly, it was now 6PM and we were still at Euro Disney, it was about time Hannah and I made our way back to London, after all we did have work the next morning. We grabbed our bags and said goodbye to Liz and Kent then jumped back on the train to Gard du Nord. We had a quick dinner at McDonald’s before boarding the Eurostar back into London. When we arrived we jumped in the next taxi for home, its wasn’t until after 11PM we were finally home after a huge weekend.
