Paris built a large industrial complex in the North West of the city that didn't survive commercially. So, the city converted it into a very large Science Museum. They even had a real submarine on display. The decommissioned Argonaute had served in the French Navy but never fired a shot or a torpedo, except in practice. It showed how the Navies of the world are in short supply of strong left handed midgets. Strong because you had to load or move heavy items in cramped quarters. Left handed because many of the controls required left handed operation. And midgets because anybody taller than W.. had to duck to go anywhere in the submarine.

It had the usual science exhibit stuff on electricity and magnetism, and updated planetary system sans Pluto, gears and levers, etc. There was a suspended 3D globe with projectors from four directions that displayed different multi-coloured maps on the globe, such as Nitrogen Oxide concentrations, political boundaries or topography. Kind of a solid hologram. A lot of other hands-on interactive exhibits with many virtual exhibits on computer monitors.

Each of the exhibits had a different entrance fee, and it got expensive and tiresome after a while. There was also an IMAX or similar film projection in a geodesic dome. Didn't have the patience or time to stand in line for tickets to that too.
