Named after King Canute the Holy, who was murdered here in 1086. The guide book says that many consider this to the the finest Gothic building in Denmark.

We attended Evensong seated by the altarpiece. One night a month Evensong takes place in English and that night we happened to be in Odense. Interesting to meet with local English speaking people for tea and Danish biscuits after the ceremony.
