They don't get much better than today. Not quite up with the larks (and welcoming our old friends the mozzie bites 😬) we had a hurried brekkie and drove the twenty minutes to Lego land. Actually, proper danish Legoland. We had been before, nine years ago, almost to the day, Seth hadn't. I don't think it's possible to be any more excited then he was this morning. From greeting a wizard before we'd really even got in, his eyes were saucers taking in everything. Day three 2023 three countries and a drive

Since having a small person, we now do longer drives with more nights in one place. Usually that's fine. Occasionally we get bitten by extra long drivings. Today was that day. After, honestly, the best nights sleep I've had in 8 years, we left as planned at 10.15. by 10.25 we were heading back to the hotel to fetch the blanket we'd left behind. 10.40 we were back on route but the sat nav had added a lot of time to our journey in the window from turning around to setting off again. Within fifteen minutes the traffic had stopped, an accident had shut the motorway and the bottleneck added a good two hours to our journey. Et voici comme promis les petits films pris à Legoland... Cela vous donnera un peu plus encore une idée de ce que c'est ! et qui sait l'envie d'y aller un jour... En réponse à Liliane qui mettait en commentaire qu'ils n'ont pas de Pollux : avis aux amateurs nous avons vu pas mal de société d'aviation passer tout à côté vu que le parc se trouve juste de l'autre côté de l'aéroport... Ryanair, Turkish et j'en passe... Nous y voila... Nous avons un peu hésité à y venir... On nous disait que cela ne vallait pas la peine... Sans doute un conseil d'une personne trop blasée... Nous avons bien fait de ne pas en tenir compte car nous avons été enchantés de notre visite... La réservation d'un emplacement pour Pollux sur place avec l'achat d'une entrée (qui incluait deux nuits et même deux jours de visite), était à un prix très abordable. Nous avons donc accepté cette offre et c'est en pensant à chaque enfant que nous avons un jour vu un Lego à la main que nous avons passées nos deux journées... En ce qui concerne les photos il y a bien entendu de quoi en perdre la tête... C'est pourquoi vous me permettrez de ne pas renommer les photos... chacun lui ... read more

On a pas d'âge pour s'amuser !

Rêvez encore ! Et comme je ne voulais pas terminer notre séjour sans avoir tout ce qu'il fallait voir à Billund je me suis encore offert une petite promenade de trois kms... pour découvrir le parc aux sculptures !!! seul regret, je n'ai jamais trouvé le Petit Prince... Demain sera un autre jour à nouveau... Nous quitterons Billund sous un ciel presque couvert et nous estimons très chanceux d'avoir pu visiter ce parc sous le soleil ! L'après midi nous apportera moins de chance avec une belle drache... mais arriverons correctement au camping de Ebeltoft où ce matin nous nous sommes réveillés sous un épais brouillard... heureusement durant la journée tout est revenu dans l'ordre et qui sait si demain le soleil ne brillera pas à nouveau tout à fait !!! ?? We had an early start to dodge the 1.2 million city dwellers of Copenhagen to make it across Fyn Island over to Jutland, home of Legoland. The journey itself was really interesting, incredible bridges and wind turbines rising up from the water, rotating with the power of the wind. It was the most expensive toll I have ever paid which was about forty dollars. We spent a few hours enjoying the masterpiece constructions and going on rides- giggling like children as we re-lived out childhood. It was another hot day in Denmark and we were both sunburnt. Unfortunately, I had acquired a cold which I initially thought to be have Hayfever from the pollen from all the wild flowers we had been immersed in... but no, it was worse than the Anti-histamine could manage. Desperately trying to do a bit of catch up on this blog. I am sitting on the bed in our very nice room aboard the River Victoria in Moscow, but I've still got plenty to tell about our time in Denmark. We moved from cousin Ellen's place to cousin Kirsten. In between was the big family get together with many other family members, held in an old farmhouse on the island of Fyn. This was my big chance to catch up with other cousins and an aunt that I might not otherwise have seen. Thank you to cousin Signe and her family for hosting a wonderful day. Braedstrup and Lake District - Ry and Himmelbjeret - and Legoland & then up the west coast to Hirtshals 28, 29 & 30 June Tea a lovely friend of our daughter Kerrie (both their little girls are in Year one together), has given us names and addresses of her friends who live in Denmark and who would love to meet us. Today was the day to meet one lot of her friends, Jette and Knud in Traeden in Braedstrup a beautiful country area in central Denmark on Jutland. We phoned them and so we headed their way.
