Nyborg castle is located here in this 15000 inhabitants in central Denmark. I got used of the Scanrail pass to make a quick visit to this little small town. It is a quick train ride from Odense, you got to check the train timetable for the time and frequency of the trains stop at this small station. There is a busline to take you from the train station to town but I walk and enjoy the scene along the way. It is a delight small little town with moats, harbors, castle, and shops. The castle was built in the 11th century and have been rebuilt several times. The annual "Danehof" meeting took place here in Nyborg from 1354 to 1500s. Danehof was the event of the year in the old day where important individuals and politicians got to meet the Danish king.
