Dear All Hello again, for my third and final update on my lovely little winter trip to Denmark. I had enjoyed two full days of sightseeing until this point, around Copenhagen first, and then two royal castles situated in Hillerød and Helsingør in northern Zealand. For my final full day, I wanted to explore more of the natural beauty of this part of the world, and planned a visit which would tak... Read Full Entry

Mother Nature Calls
Great that you got out of the city and took to the woods and water. You covered a lot of ground in a day and absorbed lots of history, Vikings and local knowledge. The photos show a lot of great scenery to wander in and contemplate the world.

Mother Nature
Thank you, it was a beautiful and varied area to explore. The older I get, the more I feel called to seek out the natural places. It was a beautiful, contemplative day :)

About that falcon
Thank you for the app recomendation. I've installed it and will try it out tomorrow when exploring Thy National Park. About that falcon. I've read a book about falconry this year. (H is for Hawk) If I remember correctly from that book, that gentleman was training his falcon to get used to other people by going outside and simply taking it for a ride. Christiania really sounds like an interesting place and I'm not at all suprised that is exists here in Denmark. I find that Danes are people who like to live by the law and I can imagine that the few that don't like to do that are going to look for a place where they can feel more free. I really enjoyed your entries about Denmark and I'll be sure to check out some of your more recent entries. Greetings from Thisted PS: Did you receive my reply to your private message? I've sent you one but it didn't show up in my outbox so I'm not sure it went out.

Falcons and Thy
Wow, very interesting to read about the gentleman training the falcon - perhaps this is what the guy in Christiania was doing. I really enjoyed my time there, it has made me think much about the law, the state, and individual freedom. I imagine you are getting to know Danish people very well during your time there, it sounds like you are really delving into the country. I have just checked, and your private message ended up in my Spam folder - sorry about that! I will reply to this now. Enjoy Thisted, and I hope the app helps you to explore Thy National Park ?
