Ahoj, jak se mas! Day 32 - Brno, Czech Republic - Jan 13th, 2013:
This Awesome Place shall be my home for the next week and a half. It is a non-tourist area, and being able to just chill and hangout without having to run around and see sights and just live like a local is a totally Awesome change of pace from the first half of my Journey. I've realized that I have been writting Novels in my Blogs, so I will keep this Blog short and Sweet and perhaps do the same to my next Blogs.
After going to bed at 5AM last night/last morning, we used the morning to sleep in. Waking up at 12:30PM is the second longest I've slept-in on my Trip, and it took a while to get up. We didn't feel like really waking up yet, so we decided to watch thee greatest theatrical movie of all time, ORGAZMO! The very first movie that Trey Parker and Matt Stone made back in the early 90's.
After that we decided to head to the Local Grocery Store and stock up on some food and drinks. Nick lives in a very localized city,
where you can pretty much walk anywhere in the city which is pretty conventient. After a short walk, we get there and it was cool. They had in the market things that I've never seen before. Since this was in the heart of the Local's territory, we were the only non-Czechs shopping and not one thing was labeled in English, nor did anyone working there speak English, it was a cool experiance. I like the Goulash I had the previous day so much, that I decided to buy Goulash Mix and some Sausage and Salami to make it my self back in the Flat. I went the cheap route (even though everything is already dirt cheap) and bought large quantities of bread for no more than 1US Dollar each, some cheese, random snacks, and a ton of Beer. I ended up buying an increadible amount of food tha only came out to being around 350 Kronur, which comes out to less then 20 US Dollars! It was rediculous!!!
We then walked back and was still tired, so we took a powernap and planned the rest of our day. We walked around and then headed to some new Pub to
All this for less than 20 US Dollars!
A ton of Beer, bread, snacks, salami, sausage and what not! catch the New England and Texan Football game! It was cool cuz the game didn't start live until 10:30PM over here, so the game didn't end until right before 2AM! There we had some nice Czech Drinks and tried some nice Czech Food. We had two different things for a redicously cheap price as usual. We can get away with constantly drinking at the pubs here for hours for less then 10 or so US Dollars, as each drink is only about a dollar and 15 cents each US, so it's like Dollar Beer Night every day, all day!!! Even the really high quality beer is only about 2 and a half US dollars.
We then took the Metro/Trolley back home and passed out. It was my most relaxing, layed back day of the entire trip, and I totally needed it after waking 10 hours a day for an entire month, every single day. I think tomorrow will be even more relaxed, where I just chill at the Flat with some nice Czech Drinks and just Hangout. Tomorrow will be titled, REST DAY.
Cheers from the Czech Republic, my relaxng European home for a week and a half!
