A couchsurfer in a small world!
What a way to go--couchsurfing and meeting great people in Europe, where everything seems relatively close! So, times have changed. When I visited in November in the late '90s, there weren't many tourists, and I had the Powder Tower almost to myself. On the other hand, at the National Museum. there was always a guard watching only me--pretty creepy. I think I prefer your tourists in the tower.

Indeed Tara, things certainly change with tourists. Sometimes for good sometimesoon for bad. Couchsurfingen is a great way to travel; you meet so many people and get an experience out of the ordinary. :-)
