The romance beach where we slept
By the time we had set up the tent and crawled in our sleeping bags it was already 2 AM. In the morning we woke up again early by the heat and by German tourists who aparently are crazy enough to go to the beach with their kids at 7 AM. Not surprisingly we were quite tired the next day. We spent most of the morning taking it easiy with swimming and making breakfast. We started hitchhiking after midday in unbearable heat. Luckily there was a little bit of shadow where we could sit. There was nut much traffic on the road to Drvenik and most of them were packed with unfriendly looking tourists. We didn't really try very hard to catch a ride. Yakamoz managed to study a bit and I found some time to fix my backpack. Eventually we decided to stay one more day in Drvenik and swim some more. That night we climbed a small mountain path in hope of finding a more quiet place to rest. We found a nice place but we soon discovered that everything was covered in veins with really sharp thorns that we had to cut away first. After we had put

up our tent we realized how unpractical we placed our tent. The door was close to a cliff (not very deep and dangerous but still tricky to get to the door) and those thorny veins were everywhere making it hard to get out of the tent in the dark without any scratches. Because of the heat and because we had a beautiful clear sky we decided to only put up the inner tent for the musquito's.

We woke up in the middle of the night by hauling storm winds. The clear sky was gone and we remembered the storm that was predicted for the day before. We needed to put up the outer tent before the rain started, which turned out to be a difficult and painful job because of the thorns (and it ended up not raining after all). Again not a very restful night of sleeping.

The next day we hitchhiked a bit more but the heat and tiredness soon caused us to give up and take another swim. We then decided that enough is enough and we took a bus to Dubrovnik. There we found a hostel where we both finally slept like a baby in a soft bed.
