Made it to the top!
During our last day at sea, we crammed in as much as we could. The weather was great again. Other than our arrival in Dubrovnik, the weather has been incredible on this trip.
After some morning coffee, Abbeye, Ayden, Kyle, Adam and I headed down to a basketball/soccer court in the middle of town. It was quite the Best of 5 series between the team of Abbey and I against the guys. It must have been a good 5 minutes before the first basket was made. I think everyone blamed the wind for poor shooting, but I'm not sure there was any. It must have been in the mid 80s during our games and we were glad to get it over with.
Upon returning it the Perla, Carrie and I took a load of kids down to the small beach area in the town of Marina. They had a water activity course there. It was quite a strength training experience for us. We took a break and had some pizza for lunch and en spent about another hour on the water.
After getting cleaned up back at the apartment, we headed up to Primošten for supper. Prior to
eating, Dad, Mike, Tom, Kathy and I made the climb to the highest point in the town. Dad was bound and determined to get up there. I think he was reminiscing about the '87 trip on the way up. Out of the blue, he commented on how great a woman mom was.
Supper at the Maestral consisted of mussels, blue shark, scampi, sea bass, grilled tuna, and cevapcici. After walking back down to the town, we did a bit of shopping and then headed back to Rogoznica.
Carrie got most packed up. Off to Zagreb via Letinac and Brinje tomorrow. Can't believe we are down to 2 nights left.
