Makarska beach and its bouncy castle

Today we woke at the normal time of “whenever the heck we want!” and headed once again upstairs to sun bathe, jumped off the boat and swam, had lunch at 12 – beef casserole and chocolate wafer dessert! Verrrry nice!
We arrived in Makarska at about 1.30 and had a bit of a wander with everyone and then split up and El and I headed initially to a cafe for an iced coffee and tea, smashed some skype then headed off for a wander! The busiest island we have been to so far! Just one long beach with like a million people all crammed together on it! But the coolest beach! It had a bouncy castle in the ocean, massages on the beach, jet skis for hire and all water sports, paragliding, bars galore and lots and lots of ice cream, places – no point in changing Croatian tradition now! The beach was very cool but pebbles again, no sand. We found a bar on the beach that sold red bull and vodka for 10 kuna!! That’s like $2.50 NZ!!! Incredible! On the boat, a water is 10 kuna!!! And that’s pretty stock standard!

and got ready for dinner, which really only involved taking our togs off! We went to this really nice restaurant that served all sorts and “apparently was known for its sexy waiter!” pffft!! They did not exist! El and I continued our amazing budgeting and shared a large pizza which was awesome!! So yummy! And cheap for us!! After dinner we all headed to a cave called Deep where they used to store the weapons in World War 2. They have now turned it into a club! It was pretty cool! We stayed an hour or so and then headed home! It was a good, hot, but good, day!
