Wild waters

The waterfalls are only part of the show. The wild water cascades are beautiful in their own way. I have never seen waterfalls or cascades that run right through the forest. I found this very fascinating. As the travertine builds up, the level of the lakes slowly rises. I thought, "It is quite sad that here, among all this beauty, the first shots of the Serbian-Croatian war were fired. The first casuality of the war, a policeman, occurred here. We had read that it is not safe to go off the trails and wander around the woods as there may still be live landmines buried here. You can safely bet that we listened to this advice.
