Leaving Zadar to travel to Zagreb with one little stop over at Plitvice Lakes National Park. This place was the highlight of this trip as it was the most stunningly beautiful place. It's about 1/2 way between the two cities and is well worth a visit.
It would be lovely at any time of the year, but in Autumn with the trees changing colour the reds, oranges and yellows against the clear blue green waters is breathtaking. Everyone often talks about clear water, but I have never seen water this clear which was great as I got to spend lots of time taling to the fishies! We took the bus to the almost top of the lakes then walked down dodging OAPs wherever possible - I'd do it again tomorrow.
I figure I'll let the pictures talk for themselves as I'm running out of synonyms for how amazing it was. Go go go!
