Dear All Greetings! I am currently in my lovely home in London, but have just recently completed a mini pre-Christmas break to the Channel Islands, once more. Once more, as this time last year, I spent a few days on the lovely little Channel Island of Jersey – this year I decided to spend some time on Jersey’s sister island, just 27 miles away, and booked five nights to explore the Bailiwick ... The Lone Tourist
Visiting Guernsey and Sark in the off season as virtually the only tourist must have given a whole different prospective to your rambles on the islands. The ferry ride to Sark doesn't sounds like it's for the squeamish or those with a weak stomach, LOL! (Me??) Hope to visit the Channel Islands at some point, so I'm eager to read your upcoming installments on this trip.

Moody boot weather and remote islands
If tourist ever figure out that traveling off season can be so joyful we world travelers will be sad. I'm glad you are exploring nearby islands. This one sounds like a gem. The Sark sky must be breathtaking! What an adventure to go back in time and visit this isolated piece of wonder. Terrific you got to meet the headmaster and vicar. Things happen for a reason. I'm not surprised the rough seas are the norm. I would think coming back to civilization could be met with mixed emotions. Thanks for taking us along.

Moody and Remote
Two very apt words there to describe Sark I think. Thank you for your wonderful and encouraging comments Merry. Lol, indeed - hopefully tourists won't realise that travelling in the off-season is so enjoyable! I thoroughly enjoyed my short visit to Sark, a veritable time-warp of a wonder! ?

Walking
Indeed, plenty of walking for me on this trip. I thought it was definitely the best way to see Sark, besides bicycle or tractor...!
