If you want to see some significant historic monuments away from the centre of Trebinje, don't hesitate to visit Mostaći. Mostaći is located in the western part of the town. You can easily reach it if you travel by car to Ljubinje. On your right side you will see charming little church and old stone bridge next to it.

This church belongs to the Eparchy of Zahumlje, Herzegovina and the Littoral (Serbian Orthodox Church). It was dedicated to St. Paraskeva of the Balkans, Serbian ascetic female saint of the 10th century. The church was built of stone at the beginning of the 17th century. It is small like most of churches from that period. The bell-tower was built later. According to some opinions, this church was much older but Ottoman Turks destroyed it. It was rebuilt after the Serbian Patriarchate of Peć had been restored.

If you want to take a look into the church interior, you should visit it on the 27th of October. It is St. Paraskeva's of the Balkans feast day, celebrated in all Serbian Orthodox churches dedicated to her. On this day this church is open and the Holy Liturgy is celebrated.

far from the church you can see the Old Bridge on the brook of Bara. It belongs to the group of so-called small stone country bridges which were built on small rivers and brooks in Herzegovina. It is unknown when this bridge was built. But, according to the name of the place Mostaći ('most' means bridge), historians assume that the bridge is very old.

It has two arches whose widths are not equal. In 1999 new concrete bridge was built next to this one (about 5 metres away) in order to prevent walking across the Old Bridge. In some periods of the year the brook under the bridges dries up.

The church and the bridge are protected architectural ensemble. Since 2006 they have been on the list of national monuments of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
