Jan, his daddy, and his little brother in Switzerland

One work week / school week separates us from our first father - son trip... travel documents are ready, suitcases packed, hotels booked, rental car reserved, flight tickets checked...

Many weeks of preparation and organisation are behind us, 5 working days lie before us... time is so relative.

Next Friday, it's launch time... 18000 kms of travel, 3 flights, 1 stopover...

From North to South, From Winter to Summer; Daytime will become nighttime...

We'll check around the other side of the world.

We'll hike, bike, swim, kayak and drive the North Island.

Will we find the Ring ?

Once when travelling in USA, I opened a fortune cookie in a Chinese restaurant. The propecy inside said: Travel to appease your restlessness. Many years later, having a family, we turn out to be travelling a lot. Ski holidays in Winter to the Austrian Alps. Beach holidays to the beautiful Toscany coast in Italy. The occassionally long weekend to Northern France, Holland, or the South of Belgium. But once in a few years, I tend to step up to another level. That's where my kids come in.
