After a quick euro-breakfast (by which I mean croissant and weak coffee), we set off in search of the ever-popular Manneken Pis and his ever-elusive female counterpart, Janneke Pis. Despite what might be regarded as his international fame, the little pissing-boy fountain actually couldn’t be much smaller... one would easily miss him if not paying careful attention to the obscure street corner in which he hides. Not to be outdone however, Janneke is equally as unimpressive, but finding the hidden niche in which she sits behind iron bars is an adventure in itself. Good times in Brussels also included a trip to the Royal Palace and lunch at the “Danish Cafe” in Belgium serving Flemish chicken by a French-speaking server. Alstublieft.
