la, la, la, la. Actually they were alive with the sound of fire crackers and fireworks, which are apparently legal over here and it must be the 'cool' thing to keep letting them off in your backyard from 4pm onwards on new years eve, why wait til midnight when you could let them off all day hey!! Anyway. We arrived in Sunny Salzburg Austria (it was 13 degrees, thats unheard of for winter time in the alps) for new years eve, the home of 'mozart' and 'the sound of music'. And, what a beautiful city it was. Our new years eve was spent in an irish pub (2 aussies, in an irish pub in austria.....good combo) then dancing to the 'wild cats' band in the old town square in central salzburg.
