Grand entry to,our palace for dinner and concerto Last full day of this tour. Breakfast isn't anything flash today, maybe they are taking the medieval bit too far. Had some fruit and toast and that was enough. We have to walk up to the bus. It is a beautiful crisp morning and the town is very quiet. We get a few more snaps from the top car park and then Alex arrives with the coach. We go down the road, then all of a sudden he swings in a u turn on this small country road. What he can't do with this coach hasn't been invented yet.
We roll on down country roads today towards Vienna. Interesting little villages, glad I'm not in the front seat today, not much room when trucks swish past. John and Jane have this honour and already she has asked for Valium and/or a blindfold. No accidents and we finally get to the motorway unscathed. Kari Anne hands out the obligatory questionnaires along with the obligatory CEO farewell DVD showing. All boxes being ticked.
We are in desperate need of a laundromat and luckily we didn't opt for the Vienna walking tour this afternoon so we have plenty of time
Vienna
Dining room to do this wonderful task. Normally our rooms wouldn't be available as we arrive about 1130, but Kari Anne has rung through and guess what, all but 6 are free. Lottery time, who is in and who misses. Bingo, winner winner chicken dinner. And the same room as last time. Up we go, re-arrange the laundry, etc. and off we go. A little different this time, train to a station then walk. We find it easily and off we go again. Lunch mixed with washing and drying. All done, folded and off we go back up the hill to the station. Walk past a barber shop. In I go, getting a bit crusty the clown so a haircut is in order. Interesting dude, hand signals and off we go. Number 0 done and dusted, €10 (about $15 AUD so good value).
Back on the train and to the hotel. Clean clothes spread open the bed, I decide that I need a new shirt for our farewell dinner and concerto
tonight. We wander across the road to the shopping mall. Into H&M, nothing takes my fancy, another men's shop, hmm not looking good. Into the 3rd and bingo.

Ballroom Pinkish short sleeve shirt and a new polo that Chris liked for me as well. All with 20%!o(MISSING)ff, bargain. Onto the bed they go, actually, no, had to iron the shirt. Get ready for dinner and down for the bus. The usual mob are at the bar so we join them. Bus is leaving and as usual we are one of the last to board (for the last time).
We have a special farewell dinner at the palace where the concerto is being held. We are the only ones being fed here
tonight in a room where Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart played to some princess when he was 6 and afterwards jumped on her lap and gave her a kiss on the cheek. According to our expert man who turns out to be the MC of the night. Good food, wine and laughs. Into the concert, we have the VIP seats this time, front 3 rows. Almost a duplicate of the one we had with Globus (different group and venue though). Night done and we are told to meet at the front door because the coach will be around the corner. Wrong, Alex has got prime position

Alex and some other dude at the front door.
Back to the hotel and a final drink with John and Jane and another couple from Adelaide. Fond farewells, then off to bed, or more correctly, off to re-pack the bags as we are off to Munich
at 1030 tomorrow morning by train.
