We reached Tyrol at approximately 10am on the 2nd of July, ready for white water rafting. We suited up... wet suit, wetsuit shoes, a waterproof jumper, vest and helmet... we hadn't realised there would be so much gear for it! There were 8 of us in our raft, 7 girls and Steve being the only male! The rapids weren't as big as we thought they would be, but we still had a lot of fun. We did not fall out at all! The ride went for just over an hour. We had to jump in the water just to get a feel for it before heading out and we can tell you, it was like ice! We were told the temperature of the water was 7 degrees. A few of the Geelong girls joked that they were used to it coming from Victoria!! haha

We had also planned to do paragliding today. Steve was all psyched for it and well Kim, she had been talked around and wasn't looking so pale at the thought of taking the leap after days of building herself up to it haha. Unfortunately the weather wasn't good though - it was raining and there was low visibility due to the fog on the mountains, so it was called off. We were all so disappointed!!

In place of paragliding, we instead moved on to the Swarovski Crystal museum. We really weren't excited by this at all and didn't expect that is would be any good. We were both surprised to find it very interesting!

Our accommodation in Tyrol was like a homely Ski house booked out by our tour group alone. The rooms were really big and there was a pub downstairs with a little function room off the side for meals. They had a 'White Out Party' for us with music, dancing and cheap drinks... it was a good night :-)
