So we drove out of Salzburg in the morning fog and arrived at St. Gilgens at about 10. It was the first of a series of beautiful lakes that we visited that day. We also visited Bad Ischl, Hallstatt, Gosausee and finished off at the Five Fingers lookout in the Dachstein Mountains. We may have visited other places but although we had one more day, we thought it might rain and it did! Actually by the time we drove into Salzburg that evening it was already raining. Anyway, although we had a wondeful day, it is all a bit of a blur. Lucky that we have photos.

There is also a house on the grounds that belonged to Empress Elisabeth (known as Sisi), that houses a collection of old photographs.
