This is Connor age 9, and this is what i think about are trip to Europe. Well i'll have to admit that i am pretty excited about are trip to Austria.I hope to see all lot of cool stuff, such as, eagles nest, and all the beautiful mountains. i can't wait to ski some hills in Austria that are actually hard. are mom is making us to listen to germen CDs, they are boring. it is like a job but you don't git payed (i am going to write more later but mom is getting that look so i better go pack)... read more

Mom-Sandy Peters, age 42, a college professor. Sandy was stationed in Germany (with her husband who was in the military) for four years when she was 18 years old. She has wonderful memories of the people and the alps. Sandy is rather obsessive, and she spent almost a year planning this trip.Dad-David Peters, age 37, an attorney. A better skier than Sandy, Dave has only traveled internationally to scuba dive (think warm weather). This is going to be his first trip to Europe. Austin, age 12, is fascinated with languages and engineering. He is on the freestyle ski team at Holiday Valley Resort and he can land 360 spins off the jumps. We arrived at our apartment in the centre of Kaprun and headed straight to the hire shop to get kitted out and to buy our ski passes. We then tested out one of the local bars, missing the supermarket and having to make do with freshly made, oven-baked pizzas- oh well! We spent that evening in the apartment (as we were destined to spend every evening) playing cards and sharing easter eggs! Cad taught us some new games, which we grasped with varying success! Most evenings we also managed to head down to Paletti's, a local bar with a very relaxed atmosphere in the centre of Kaprun. It was definitely a day for laughing. And crying. I can't really recount it all here, it just doesn't work that way. But I do know that when Boonie and I found ourselves on the way home on the train at ten pm devouring mini bottles of Vodka from the train dining cart, it had been one of my better days out. So the significance of holding the rod? Sorry, it's not as dirty as you'd like to think it is. I simply asked a gentleman who was fishing on the lake at dusk if I may hold his rod for a moment - and realised fairly quickly that it hadn't sounded the way it was intended. After Baz’s long weekend introduction to snowboarding in January 2006, he was keen as a bean for a full week of burning thighs, aching backs and bruised bums. So in March 2006 we rallied the boarding troops - Sim, Si, Kent, Kirst, Matt & Faith - and chose our destination… Zell am See, Austria. There’s not a lot I can say. It was a wicked trip and everyone had a ball. Early morning wake up calls by Si and Baz were followed by morning yoga stretches to enable us to stand upright and hobble our way onto the slopes.
