Maribel and Pete

They live in Guayaniya. They also have a Kioske on Sundays. They asked to come by, so we did. Hector gave us tour of the area. There is a bar and grill called the Aeropuerto. Planes land by water. Interesting concept.
So we spent the afternoon with them. Several of their friends came by to visit and of course a domino game crept up. Domino here is double 6, and there are rules to follow and they pay you by points each hand, playing to 200.

Upon Pete's retirement in 2005, decision was made to go South on the boat. We will take it one day at a time. One island at a time. See how far we get. Unfortunately it was late in the season, so we took of on the land boat instead for 6 months. In 2006, we made our 1st crossing across the Florida straights towards the unknown, new cultures, islands, countries, foods, vegetation, etc. We hope you enjoy reading our adventures and looking at our pictures.... full info
