(Daddy's first attempt at videotaping this trip....He kinda sucks, but will get better.....especially after he learns to never put the camera sideways when shooting video!)
Ferry back to San Jorge and then a short 1 hour taxi ride to Granada where we stayed at the best hotel on our trip, Hotel con Corazon. This hotel was really cool....It had a the game of chess in the main courtyard that, while I did not understand the game, I had a lot of fun with the pieces that were almost as big as I was. There was a beautiful garden to run around and a small pool.

The hotel did I lot of work with local kids and families and daddy got a lot of information once we arrived and set some things up. One of the coolest things was that they directed us across the street where the main office for "futbol sin fronteras" (soccer without borders) where players and coaches from different USA universities volunteer to help small girls play soccer and other fun things. I went over and almost instantly had over 50 friends. After I got over the first

Takend from Iglesia del La Merced bell tower few minutes of being shy, I had a blast playing with them, and they had just as much fun playing with me. They invited me to come over anytime they were there, which I did.

Another cool activity that was organized by the hotel staff was learning to make a pinata. The pinatas were made by a lot of adults with learning disabilities. They taught me how to make a pinata and I had so much fun. The original plan was to make it and then break it at a party later. However, after working hard to make one, I decided I wanted to take that one home and daddy bought another one to bring to the party. The next day, we filled it with candy and then a party was organized in one of the neighborhoods. Some of the kids I had already met at soccer without borders, so it was great to already know some of them, but I met a lot of others. We had so much fun trying to break open the pinata. I got to spin everyone around before they started trying to hit it. Daddy helped finally

We met up with the other Sophia and her family in Granada, and daddy found out that the championship series of baseball just happened to be while we were in Granada. Granada was playing Leon. This was Game 1 and daddy invited Sophia and her family. We paid less than $3 for awesome seats. There was so much noise and people going crazy. I had so much fun blowing a horn that daddy bought me. However, I had such a crazy busy day and with the excitement of the game...... I fell asleep right before the fireworks that preceeded the game. I actually slept through 7 1/2 innings. Daddy couldn't believe it, especially given all of the noise. While daddy was able to enjoy the game and the experience, my friend was probably bummed that I was asleep, oh well.
Another one of my best moments was when
me and my new friends
Soccer Without Borders we went to a church that daddy wanted to climb the bell tower, I saw a whole bunch of girls playing in front of it. I approached them and instantly started playing with them. It was so much fun. Daddy promised that if we go on top I could come down and play, I agreed and I played for another 30 minutes after we came down. WHile up in the bell tower, we had great views and then got our ear drums blasted with the guy ringing the bells.

The city of Granada was very nice and I loved the center park with the beuatiful cathedral. I took a "train" around the town. Daddy and I went to a place where they made cigars....while that interested daddy, I had more fun with the woman who worked there and showed me their turtle, bird, and other pets.
While we were here, Daddy found out about a horrible earthquake that happened in Haiti. After checking his e-mail, he found out that a lot of doctors, nurses and others were going to go from the University of Miami where he works. Some of the docs
there asked Daddy for some help as to what vaccines and medications to give to keep those going safe and healthy. He told them what he recommended and told them that he would be home in a few days to help out.

How cool!
The whole trip seems incredibly cool! But I had never heard of futbol sin fronteras! What a great organisation, do they work in Mexico? We are going there this Summer and my daughter plays football (soccer)
