We are now on Honduras’s Caribbean coast. Many of the people in this area are Garifuna, descendents of shipwrecked slaves who intermarried with Carib Indians. There were lots of butterflies in this park. This is the only guy who posed for me. There were also a number of very noisy birds here. The Audubon Society conducts a bird count here every January.
