We had an interesting weekend. We clean out the refrigerator, inventoried the can goods. Making a list for tomorrow morning. We did 3 loads of laundry over the weekend. We had the usual Karaoke night Sat night and pot luck dinner. We went for a dinghy ride today. Hog Island still has lot's of boats, not as many as in July.
Sunday night Jeris cooked dinner. After dinner, we had a local dog come up on our dock, waiting for a hand out. All the dogs here are so skinny, you see their bones. So today we are saving all the scraps for a dog, who the marina has nicknamed Saturday, cause he always shows up for the pot luck dinner.
There are many cruisers that have left for the holidays, and their boats are here and there. We are still at the marina, looks like we are going to get a weather window late this week. Have not decided if Trinidad or go North, we will wait on the window, see where the winds are coming from and the swells.
We spoke to all of our kids this past weekend. We had 1 grandchild singing Christmas carols on the phone, of course we do use Skype.
Pete and I took turn on the computer phone connection. We also spoke to Ileana, good friend, we miss them.
Tuesday am at 9 comes a Taxi across the bay to go shopping in town. Tom will stay in the boat. It also goes to the market downtown. It cost 10 EC per person roundtrip. We have cokes, water, and beer to buy. All heavy stuff.
