Hello all,

More than 6 months have passed by. More than 25,000 km are behind us, traveled by air, ground and water.

We are missing so many things and in this short entry we would like to share with all of you, dear friends and family the things we miss most, day by day:

Israeli food: Humus and Tehina topped with garlic, parsley and olive oil accompanied with freshly baked Pita bread; Burekas filled with cheese or mashed potatoes; Chocolate Rogalach (Israeli sweet pastry filled with chocolate); Jachnun / Melawach (Yemen pastries cooked for 12 hours over-night in the oven), topped with tomato sauce or honey; Israeli vegetable reach salad;

Spanish food: Tapas of all kinds, but especially - chocos, pimientos padrones, bonuelos de bacalau ; sea food - our Friday 'ritual' shrimps with cream sauce over rice; BBQed butifara;

Israeli Family & Friends' Scenes: Friday evening meal with family in Hadera, Hod Hasharon or Kefar - Saba; Saturday morning: late wake-up, fresh coffee and weekend newspaper with all the Musafim (Supplements); Going out for a coffee or dinner with our best friends on Friday eve; Sitting on the porch, chatting with friends and family; Spending an hour in the country-club; Going out for the weekend for a short trip - no TREKKING...; Also, going out for a 4*4 trip in the Golan heights, Negev and Arava (Different parts of Israel where you can have the most spectacular jeep trips);

Spanish Friends and Atmosphere: All our friends from work, from school and others; Living in a big city that offers lots of restaurant variety, cultural events, museums etc; The comfort of taking the Ferrocariles from everywhere to anywhere; Our weekly art classes - painting, feltre and more; Las Ramblas and its international environment;

Israeli Everyday Scenes: Friday afternoon - 1600 - when all traffic and business slow down; Vendors yelling at the market, offers of the day (in Tel Aviv - Bezalel Market, in Jerusalem - Machane Yehuda Market); Having a first meeting with a potential client (then signing a well-paid legal fees agreement...); Taking the kids to afternoon activities and good friends from school; Friday shopping in the Supermarket;

Israeli Media: 9 o'clock News, Galgalatz, Eretz Nehederet, Maccabi Tel Aviv on Thursdays; Rosh Gadol; Sports Channel,

But most of all - We miss y'all 😊!!!

I can't send you humus...
...and certainly not tapas! But I can help you with galgalatz - first, you can hear it on the web* (you can even watch eretz nehederet if the bandwidth is enough), but I will spare it from you - the traffic jams are still in road #1 west, #2 south, road #5 west and the entrance to Jerusalem... ;-) *Add to your browser: http://www.lihi.co.il/ or surf to: http://www.my-music.co.il/ Chag Same'ach Erez

we miss you
We miss you all very much as well... 4 more months to go. The one thing I really miss, after 4 years in the US is having the main meal of the day at lunch time and a light meal for dinner.

Yeah, right....
Come on... don't fool us, I'm sure you can overcome all this "missing" food with the best steaks eaten ever in most of the South American locations :-) However, I'm not arguing about the rest, I guess it's time for you to turn a bit homesick, and it's natural. I miss you all too, allthough I was one of the few lucky ones to meet you only one month ago in Buenos Aires. Big kiss from Lausanne. Love, Tamy

I miss you missing us
Lilach, no words to describe the variety of emotions I go through reading your entries. Kol Hakavod !!! Beautiful ! When people say they miss Israel you think - what are they talking about ? And there it is - in writing (and very well put). Things you see from there........Continue enjoying every minute and sharing it with us all. Pessach Sameach ! Love Orit
