Ok before you get excited, Manuel Antonio isn't a sexy Costa Rican guy who wants to marry me.

It's a national park on the Costa Rican coast where the jungle meets the beach. I arrived here and so far I've not seen much but I went to the beach with two Dutch girls and an American guy from the hostel and it was amazing. The sand was BLACK! The reason is because it's actually volcanic sand, a mixture of ash and the rock from the nearby volcano. Photo attached of my feet in the sand.

I had my first swim in the Pacific Ocean and the water was warm and beautiful. There were strong rip tides and currents so I didn't go far but it was still lovely. We sat and drank vodka and ginger ale for a while and the Dutch girls went back to cook but me and the American guy decided to watch the sun set over the Pacific. Sadly by this point my phone was dead so no photos!

The American guy is a yoga instructor so he ended up giving me a full on yoga lesson - I am terrible at it!! The four of us are going to the national park tomorrow to see the monkeys and the toucans and he said he is going to give us another yoga lesson on the beach there.

You can hear the monkeys so loudly from my bedroom. It's cute but also annoying. Everyone tells me I am going to love the monkeys at first and then hate them when they start stealing my food from my backpack on the beach!!

I am going to cook now and then we are going to drink some more and play games. So far, I love it here. I miss my friends in Panama a lot though!
