Our first stop on our 14 day repositioning cruise in the Caribbean was Nassau, Bahamas. Unfortunately, Steph, Nicole, and I had to finish our Basic Safety course, as it was too cold in the waters of Canada to complete the last element of the course - jumping off the ship, flipping a liferaft, and climbing into it. This is what we did in Nassau. Luckily, because we went first, we got the chance to get off the ship and explore a bit of Nassau.

We only had about an hour, but we walked through town to a nearby beach, where we saw Jimy and Humberto. We hung out there for a little while before heading back to the ship.

Nassau is actually one of the places that we’ll be visiting on a weekly basis, during our Bahamas itinerary. Next time we’re in Nassau, I’ll be taking a bus to meet up with my mom’s co-worker to drop off some things for her to take home with her. I look forward to future visits where I hope to see Atlantis Resort, and maybe snorkel for treasure as my friend Jeanette did when she was there.

It was definitely nice to be back in warm weather and soak up some rays!
