Blue Lagoon Island, Bahamas
Blue Lagoon Beach
Blue Lagoon Island, also known by its official name Salt Cay, has been an interesting part of The Bahamas’ history for centuries. Located just three miles from Nassau, it is now the home of the dolphins and sea lions of Dolphin Encounters and is owned by a local family.

If you ever wonder to see how heaven looks like, you should definitely visit BAHAMAS!
Bahamas is a such a beautiful place that people compose songs for it. At least I did (just 2 sentences in the lyrics 😊 I can share its studio recordings later on. Just kidding 😊
All right, I now start telling you a bit about Bahamas:
If you travel from the U.S.A, I definitely recommend you to fly there instead of taking a cruise. There is a direct flight from Atlanta and it is very quick. Taking a cruise trip might be longer and I do not like being on the boat for a long time (especially not recommended for the people feeling seasick).
So, the first day we arrived, shuttle service picked us up from the airport. You should either use pick up service or take a cap, but I do not really suggest you to take cap. While we were there, local people did not give the taxi drivers a good credit. We arrived our hotel to Melia Beach Resort (all inclusive) after 10 mins drive from the airport. When we saw the view from our room, we both got
fascinated. I am sharing the view from our balcony on the photos section. After we changed our clothes, we directly went to the beautiful beach and jump into the turquoise blue ocean. There is no word to describe that feeling when we were in the water. Beach was spectacular! After we swam a bit, we checked out the bar next to the beach and tried 'Bahama mama' drink. It is very soft and sweet. It kind of tastes like Malibu and of course that was not all. We wanted to try anything traditional so the bartender recommended us to try their traditional beer 'Kalik' which was not my favorite. Maybe because I am not a beer person in general. You should definitely try it. though. After some relaxing time, we went for dinner to an Italian restaurant. Among all the restaurants over there, Italian restaurant was the best in my opinion.
Second day we saw some pals playing beach volley and we joined them. It was pretty much everything we have done all day along with enjoying the water at the beach. Then we decided to discover other parts in Nassau on Paradise Island. Blue Lagoon was
highly recommended us so we gave a try to check it out. It was the best part of the trip without no doubt. We met an Italian couple that we later on learnt that they are the barbie costumes designers. That is cool, huh? That is not all, though. I and my husband decided to take our honeymoon photos In Bahamas. We got our costumes ready in our hands. While we were desperately looking for someone who were willing to take a couple of photos of us, a local lady appeared from somewhere. I call her angel and people call her Melinda organized everything for us in a couple minute. We did not even have to explain her anything. Then a photographer girl came and she took many amazing photos of us that you will see on photos section even with the dolphin. I absolutely think being there was one of the awesome moments in my life. I do not even talk about the natural beauty of it. However, you should try to swim with dolphins. I am sure it will be an amazing experience.
On the last day of our honeymoon, we both did not want
Blue Lagoon Island
Nothing is more beautiful than a wedding in The Bahamas set on the private tropical island paradise that is Blue Lagoon Island. We took great pleasure in having our Bahamian honeymoon opportunity that is among the most unique in the world.
Beautiful Blue Lagoon Island, with its naturally lush tropical setting, breathtaking ocean vistas, turquoise water and sandy beaches, surrounded by friendly dolphins is the ultimate setting. It was one of the spectacular filled with many exciting and memorable moments of our lives..
to leave Bahamas. It stays a very special place in both of our hearts. Whenever we get overwhelmed by the rush of daily life, we remember our memories there and get relax for a short moment. It was a fairy tale for me. Hope there will be many couples going there and enjoy their lives! I and my husband definitely want to go back there one day again!
