That red-footed booby is a seriously stylish bird! So happy you made it to the Galapagos at last, I am particularly jealous of this leg of your trip. Suzanne, maybe if you'd worn your yellow skirt you would have had more luck catching the captain's eye...
love the skirt! I think you guys would fit right in in my old NYC neighborhood, The East Village, dressed like that. And I just finished reading In Style mag, by the way, and canary yellow is very on trend this year! x
Just looked through all your photos and blog from last two entries. Amazing! Some great pictures, we did laugh at you in your inca costumes- I hope you will be wearing these next time we see you! Mum, just how many scalfs have you bought so far? I can spot one new one. I remembering doing lots of case studies
skirts and scarves Emily: The skirts was something out of this world. It had a tape through the waistband to fit any size. Thought you may like one! Only a couple of scarves so far.
Emily: Various comments No we haven´t shrunk, far from it. Maybe you have grown! Thought you would like the mossie nets and the spider. Catching the piranha was a real bonus xxx
Pamela birthday greetings It really was a birthday with a difference. Will we need a rest when we get home? Yes, but we will also need the rowing machine big time!
xxx
am glad you could laugh about it later over the malbec, would have loved to have been a fly on the wall during the stress, good job twinnie wasn't with you as i think the twinnie giggles could have started much earlier!!!
Jacana They are called Jesus birds because their very long toes give their feet a large surface area. They can walk on lily pads without sinking them so they appear to be walking on water.
Teresa - Jacana and owl yes you are right about the jacana! It's a very pretty bird and we saw lots of them. We found out the owl was a burrowing owl after we had done the blog. You could be a guide here!
Birthday was amazing and the lodge kitchen made me a birthday cake
