Wow Hello David, Wow I don’t know what to say, I’m speechless. The photographs of the dump are absolutely captivating. It’s mother’s day and my heart goes out to those mothers. What I also find so moving is that you captured hope in what looks like such a hopeless situation that most of us couldn’t fathom. I would never expect there to be smiling bright faces living in such disparity. I wish I could steal the little boy in the blue tee he’s beautiful.
Thanks for sharing the blog Those pictures are so heartwarming...I am celebrating Mothers Day with healthy kids and little Grand babies and it breaks my heart for these little ones... As long as they are loved... they will survive... its amazing what you are seeing- and experiencing- I am sure it has changed your life... miss seeing your cute face... be safe!!!

Smiles for my friend... Glad to see you're back in your element. I'll be living vicariously through you while learning to use my new Nikon D80. I started going to my photo club meetings and I bought it from a guy in the club. He's sold a few pix through Alamy and he's helping me get my work up to pro quality...including getting releases for EVERYTHING. It's got 4 lenses, including a fisheye. I just picked it up this morning so I haven't had time to play with it yet. I also just lucked into buying 2 - 12x24 foot barns. My brother moved them here on a tilt flatbed. We dropped them in the field, filled one with 8 tons of hay, the other with my new colt (another mustang, he's gorgeous) and presto - Instant Farm!
pictures were nice just keep me posted on your where about may be i realize it will be harder in china let me know if possible if all is ok and your plans and happy turkey day take cARE

it is going to snow Dear Dave, It had to be the lovely weather and lack of sunshine in three weeks that helped make your decision. Have a great time in your travels and bone up on your english grammar. I just picked up my tele skiis and I'm sure I will be skiing by next week ha ha.
Travel Dave,
We are currently in the Land of Mananas, Mexico and your headed to the Land of Smiles, Thailand. Our plans are to do more traveling this year and early next including the beautiful Mexican Pacific coast beaches, Guatemala, Belize and the Yucatan. Hopefully next spring we will return to Thailand.
Keep on traveling and following your dreams.

Thanks for taking the time to read my TravelBlog. Originally from the Chicago area i received my BS from northern Illinois University and after graduating I started my "career" at Abbott Laboratories. While there I earned my MBA from DePaul, Univiersity. Then I dropped out of the corporate world in 1992 when I moved to Minnesota. Next, I dropped out of the rat race in 1997 and I've been traveling since. For the first few years I only traveled in the US, working one summer in Yellowstone national park and I spent two summers in Alaska. I also had the great fortune to be a rafting guide ... full info
