I do have more photos and info on the Haitian Dance Troupe... Hi Carla, I wanted to get back to you and let you know I have more info on the Haitian dance troupe as well as Haiti in general, but are you aware that the January earthquake devastated the School for Boys in Port-au-Prince where the boys lived? I can fill you in with more details if you would like. I am currently back in Haiti but with bandwidth really low, I don't know if I will be able to send any photos with ease. I'll do my best though. Please let me know what specific info you would like from me and I'll get back to you asap.
Take care,
Suzi
Permission to add you as a link Hi, my name is Carla Hart and I'm a student at BYU in Utah majoring in Public Health. I'm doing a blog on Haiti and would like to add information about the Dance troup as a link. Do you have any other pictures of them and any information? Please let me know.
Thanks,
Carla

responding.... ha ha..in response to your message from, uh, way back in May! I don't know why i don't check my blog messages very often, but here I am! Hoping you are doing well and keeping busy this fall. Will I see you in Indo if there is a deployment there? perhaps for the xmas holidays again? i'm glad our email before meeting friendship has turned out so well.... :-) keep smiling, kiddo oh, and hey, have a grand time with Big Aaron.....hee hee!!
yes cops and never any robbers I will give my 2 rupies about Indonesia. One of the best, friendly'est countries i have been too besides Thailand. I have spent almost 18 months here now and Lombak is one of my favorite islands in the chain. I really enjoy all water sports and beach time. But i have had NO problems with any robbers anywhere in Indonesia. Period. and the policemen there R the most helpful and go out of their way to help U. I have family in Jakarta, Bogar and Jogja so i spend time with my nieces and nephews there when i go. This year it's Thailand,Vietnam, and India from Nov. 2009 to May 2010. Keep traveling Suzie and perhaps some day we will meet on the " Road Less Traveld ".

where to now? Hi,
With all the natural disasters happening in Asia, which one are you off to?
I'm helping Yacub get his passport for Malaysia. I send him a few dollars every 4-6 weeks. He sounds so appreciative. This is tip money I receive at work. That's what it's destined for.
Hope you're having too much fun.
XOXO,
D,
$ spend the few dollars more like we spoke about. what is 4 bucks more for so peace of mind. can u really enjoy it when you have to turn the key/doo knob 69 times>>? i think not. signed, the traveling princepesa.
Good work Hey "travlinfool", are you still in Gonaives? I'm headed down to the site on March 2 and I'm really curious about what to expect. How has security been for you? Have there been any trucks for the mud at all?
Left the USA on October 10, 2006 and at the time of writing (May 24, 2008) I have no definite plans of going back for a while. Too much of the world to see, too many new friends to make, too many new cultures and languages to understand. Work can wait. My life can not.
I'm a bare-bones budget traveler, getting around by hitch-hiking, taking local chicken buses and sleeping in cheap hostels or occasionally on the floor of kind locals. I have been blessed to experience what I have thus far on my journey.
Traveling and volunteering my way around the world has become a lifestyle choice for m... full info
