Temples Hindu, Christian & Buddhist...should be quite a journey. Creates a great addition to our Cathedrals, Grand Churches, Mosques & places of worship thread in the Photography Form. Thanks Jo!
Yes... if we could just focus on this rather than everything else that doesn't being peace. I hope you have recovered from your colds. I picked mine up on Christmas day and am getting better if the diminishing number of Kleenexes next to the bed each morning is an indicator!
The real meaning of Christmas It would be so much better as a focus than the endless spending of money, being in a country that has that as a focus makes you feel very content. Hope the cold is on the mend, were still snuffling away but at least the mammoth sneezes are decreasing!
Unicorn I really love this door, with this pretty chuffed-looking unicorn! Pity we couldn't also see the rest of the interior through your photos... I can understand why places do it, but my memory is shocking so I really do need photos to remember any details. Hope you and Woolly are keeping warm up there in the north :)
Not Scotland..... .... this was Alanya in Turkey, although a certain Mammoth is trying to eat his way through Scotland even though the haggis is as big as him!
Hospitals are fascinating They can be so different, the thing that stood our most was the smell, took me back to childhood and the huge needles the dentist used to use
A long extension cable It would need a very long extension cable and having to go outside in the cold winds to get to bits of your castle, think we can find you a better one..... we we'll keep lookinig
Home in Alanya Hi Woolly and Jo! It must feel amazing to be back in Alanya... good to see that some things remained the same, and there's also progress and changes. You made me envious of your visit to the hammam, I could so use one right now. Enjoy the food and sunshine xx
Round building It is very possible that the round building you saw was a munitions bunker. I've seen one that looks similar in Singapore. https://www.wikiwand.com/en/Bunker
'We travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us'
A truly multi-national mammoth that travels the world visiting places of interest, making new friends and causing mischief wherever he can. With my carer Jo (bless her!) I have scaled castle walls, walked in the footsteps of Roman Emperors and Maharajah's, climbed mountains, contemplated caverns, caves and canyons and attempted the Le Mans 24 hour race on a skateboard! Whether it be climbing a Minaret in Mostar, Paddling in the Arabian Sea, Scaling mountains in Kotor, Feeding chickens in France or Catching trains in India, not... full info

Travels of Woolly
So many locations so little time. Woolly certainly gets around. Like the sounds of the tea tasting.
