Hi Tom and Joey

Really enjoyed the blogs and photos you have been sending keep up the good work and look forward to seeing you soon.
Sorry to hear about the mishap with your passport and credit cards!
Enjoy the rest of your vacation
Lots of Love grandma and grandad
wow what a bloody mission and a half! So sorry to hear about your lost possessions in Terengganu! I truly believe now that place is cursed for non-muslim people (see my story). I had a similar experience with a malay trying to give me money in Langkawi. I met this guy called Zainol and he insisted on giving me RM100 to make sure I got back ok but I turned it down. Your right that just would not happen in the UK.
By the way you do know there is a shuttle bus from the airport to KL Sentral for RM8?

It could have been worse Tom -it could have been much worse -it could have been YOU that said ''I'm not going back to Vientiane, because the bus ride was horrible".
Someone famous once said -'its not the destination that's important , its the journey'. Just can't remember who-obviously hadn't done Vietnamese buses though!!Love mum and dad
Elbows Magee Well at least you are managing to see the good, bad and ugly - but that bus trip does sound gastly!! Hope you enjoy the rest of your stay there.
no change there then!! After weeks of telling you not to take ice in drinks.dont accept drinks from strangers, what do you do!!! well i hope you do not accept any bags from strangers when embarking on the next leg of the journey Hey!!!!!! Apart from mum having a rant how are you both? I am so envious I am seriously thinking of having my 'gap year' any time now.It all sounds terribly exciting - what did the bride and groom wear for the wedding??when you say full wedding regalia -do you mean morning suit??Any photo's.Keep in touch missing you lots of love mum and dad xxx
Bom Turk and Doey Jean Hello,
i wrote a mega big long one of these last time and my computer crashed so i am going to make this mega short.
1. Luang Prabang? quite clearly a made up name.
2. Dad, I don't think Tom knows that the word xenophobe means.
3. I am super jealous of all these tales ESPECIALLY as i am in huge super revision mode....well ish.
4. missing you.
5. X
Luang Prabang and no French You know what Tom-if I didn't know you better I'd get the impression you were a xenophobe!
Glad to hear Joey's better.
Incidentally -what are you going to do when the football season finishes??-dad
kayaking Well -sounds fantastic. Crikey Tom ,you really have got Joey brainwashed haven't you-'it's Saturday and that means football'-I've never heard your mother say that in 25 years!
Anyhow -back to the kayaking-you didn't do the old kayaking trick with the chainsaws did you?For heaven's sake be careful-and wear a helmet!
'Bout time I added something That's some power shower, hardly en-suite considering you have to trek there by elephant but when you consider the size of the shower tray one mustn't grumble. (No Chas n' Dave, please).
I've heard of the Hairy Bikers and, thanks to your journalistic skills, I'm up to speed on Hairy Biking. Keep on trekking! Dxxx
Hello there. Hello Both. Sounds like your having a great time. Unfortunately I can't seem to get any of your photos-just blank screens. I am impressed with your blog though and even more impressed with Grandpa writing about blogs. Thanks for postcard. I had a massage in Instanbul and could hardly walk for a few hours after. Love Carolyn xx
We are going to S.E Asia for 4 months - Thailand, Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.
We are going to try to keep this blog going...Tom says not to expect much from him but Joey will do her best as she has (perhaps foolishly) promised to keep lots of you updated....
