After a good breakfast we headed off for the 1st day of our actual trek- 'training day'. It was only a 12km hike and was mainly flat but also had some good up hills. We joined the Camino Inca trail and left the mini bus. The hike was great with some awesome views and we eventually arrived at our lunch spot, a small camp next to the river and were greeted by our 20 porters clapping us for making it. Pretty embarrassing considering they carry 30kg each and arrive before us, make lunch, build a tent and prepare hot water for us to wash our hands!
