So lovely scenes abt ethnic children, people and landscape as well, while readers/viewers may curiously want to know the faces of the travellers who were hard wandering and to build up these entries, no one of them (as We...) even appeared once in a photo!
Grilled egg I have tasted grilled eggs for the first time in Sapa.So strangely-delicious, a new cuisine? To many pepole's suprise in civilised urbans, they don't know how an egg can be grilled?!
old memories These images brought back many memories of my two years in Vietnam '66-67 and '67-68 when I was a Special Forces soldier. I thought then, and still do, that Vietnam is one of the most beautiful countries on Earth and its people among the handsomest to be found anywhere, particularly the delightfully beautiful and graceful women. The Vietnamese are also a strong and resilient people who weathered those terrible war years and their aftermath. I hope any of them who might want to come here do so.
Another great trip Hong Ha I'm so impressed at the way you persisted with this trip until you did what you wanted to. I only got as far as Ha Giang but your experiences really make me want to go further.
It is a big adventure around North West Vietnam Thanks Hong Ha for telling us your adventure trip to Lai Chau, Vietnam. It is real Vietnam discovery. You are quite brave and creative during your trip. That kind of your travel not only bring you closer to uniquely beautiful North west but also help us get deeper understanding of ethnic people there.
Best wishes,

So interesting! Really enjoyed reading about your visit to the ethnic tribes. How lucky to be invited to the wedding! We visited some villages out of Sapa but those were the Hmong people.
Wow, what a long holiday you had. Thank you for all the beautiful scenery of this section of Vietnam just before harvesting. I like terraced rice fields the most, reminds me of Bali. Great write up.

Da Nang City The marble carvings (buddha statue, lions) at Marble Mountain are beautiful. The workmanship is very delicate. Thank you for this interesting write up.
CulaoCham CulaoCham has been boisterously advertised by the media for last a few years, in fact, the island is not so attractive as it should be!?
Like Khau Vai love fair in Hagiang, traveler will feel frustrated if he/she attends personally the fair!
Thank you for showing us the beauty of this region:)
The scenery to Hai Tang pagoda is stunning. I spotted abalone (big fleshy shell fish & pricy seafood) in red basket in one of your photos.
