Wonderful!!!!! What a great writer you are. Your use of the English language is a celebration of the great contribution of the British people to the world.
Please keep writing. You have a lot to say.

Kent
Glad you're home! It has put me off travelling for life, well done Claire, now I can stay home too, but I doubt if I will. I'll stick to Europe
Love you xxxxxxxxxxx
so funny again!!! Ohhh Claire!!!... I like your writing style sooo much... I laugh out loud where ever I'm reading your blogs... people look at me like that little Arab boy looked at you in the plane when you were reading that book (I guess), kind of thinking "what the hell..?"... I really hope that when you get back to the UK you'll still writing, after me living for 6 years in England and you being away for so long, I would love to see your funny point of view on the british culture...
enjoy what's left!!!
Deni
well educated now Come on home Claire and Stu! You have all the travelling you need under your belt and can now integrate into our society with its swishing black capes and eye slits with the best of them, just hope you have some fat on you for the cold expensive winters ahead...hugsxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Love the photos and writing: funny! I'm an American who bummed around China in 1990 with a friend, and so I always enjoy reading about another woman who's done the same or IS doing it. Just read WUHU DIARY: ON TAKING MY ADOPTED DAUGHTER BACK TO HER HOMETOWN IN CHINA by Emily Prager. You too will find all these books and blogs about China really funny (or too idealistic) when you get back. Are you going to adopt a daughter? Uh-oh!
rong sufferlng ingrish darlings, you are amazing, all that night noise and still you stay upbeat and cheerful, bring that spirit back to england, you will need it, am in the cotswolds, heating on, log fires, wet dog and pub doing fine, it could be much much worse, make the most of your stay out east now love youxxxxxxxmiss p

One God One Ocean Wow. Blow me away! What a beautiful concept: One God represented by One Ocean broken down to Individual Oceans broken down to Seas,Bays,Rivers,Gulfs,Straits, etc. Wow. here Claire, should say ,reborned as an insect is enough punishment for the bad guy, even they are really bad, just hope i will not reincarnate into an animal, had saw lots of darkness among humans, just don't want to see any more.that's all.by the way, nice to see you again.
Another Great Story Claire, you take a small insect and write a great story. What can I say that hasn't already been said about your writing. I have a job for you if you are interested. It is writing for a magazine. Write me if you are interested.
Love ya,
Kent
Just beautiful... Claire, Thank you for this wonderful, poignant and touching portrayal of a young boy's death and funeral. I always enjoy your 'stories' ( and learn so much) but this was especially fine. Carolyn ( Gunga)
Bali Death Rite Your vivid yet sensitive recount of this terribly sad event is so important and moving that I am at a loss to give it proper recognition without writing for pages. Thank you.
thank-you thank-you for sharing this experience, and how fitting that a mother/ paramedic should come across this ceremony, quite touching. moreover, it's beautifully reported and a very pleasent change from the many empty blogs on Indonesia (beaches, coconuts, coral reefs) . Most travelers do not really connect with the islanders in Indonesia. thank-you
Moved to Tears Claire: Those were the most beautiful and poetic words that you have ever written. They moved me to tears. I felt as if I was there with you... standing beside you...holding your hand through it all. Thank you. You rock Claire Hall! BIG HUG. MAC from California
Hope Claire, this writing has moved me to tears. To have such a wonderful experience out of the sadness of the death of a child is just unbelievable. It doesn't matter what country you're from, we all experience the same ups & downs. Thank you for sharing. I wait for your blog entries as I know there will always be something new to learn and wonderful pictures to go with the story. Delaine
awesome This must rank as one of the greatest descriptions of a funeral of a young boy as any I have ever read, and I think that if we had more ritual in this country (England) when such things happen we could come to terms with our grief in a much more wholesome and healing way, brilliant Claire, you are a born writer, and a wonderful human being, exceptionalxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
One word WOW,
